Betty is a veteran concierge with an amazing 36 years in the hospitality industry as Chef Concierge for the Hilton Hotel and Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center. She is a 35-year active member of the prestigious Les Clefs d’Or. Salemme is a perfect fit as a board advisor as she was a founding member of the GBCA and served on the organization’s board as vice president of membership, chief financial officer, vice president of public relations and 16 years as president. Betty’s accolades are endless and include Where Magazine's Concierge of the Year Award, Hilton Hotels Pride Award, World Trade Center’s President’s Award for Guest Services Where Magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award and Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism Spirited Service Award. Betty is a proud graduate of Bunker Hill Community College where she earned her degree in hotel and restaurant management. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son Jason and granddaughter Celia.
Betty’s favorite recommendation for visiting guests is to walk the city, enjoy the sites. Take in the beauty as much as you can. Boston is the most walkable city I know. You can be across town in half an hour. Put your sneakers on and GO!!!!
